A while back I decided that I would no longer cook using a muffin tin--I hate(d) cleaning it, so I declared that if a recipe or mix called for muffins, I would opt for a bundt or cake pan instead. Pretty much everything seems to cook well at 350 degrees, and I feel liberated.
Currently, Frank and I are trying to modify our eating habits and increase our activity. Let's just say that when asked (5+ months ago) at our birthing class about
my eating, Frank responded by saying, "cookies are a food group...right?" In an attempt to cut out my dear friend Sugar, I have turned for support to her sister Butter. Having a variety of fresh herbs on hand, I made some herb butter (chives, basil, parsley, fresh garlic), and have been adding little pats to this and that and pretty much everything else I've made since Sunday. Not quite as freeing as the muffin tin, but it helps the vegetables go down.
* Soften 2 sticks of butter and mix with chopped garlic and herbs--roll into a butter log between wax paper--freeze in a zip-lock--slice what you need, when you need it.
On to the little lady... She has been having fun playing on the floor with her toys. Yesterday, I caught her licking the carpet.
